• We offer same day appointments for current clients and patients for emergent issues or illness. These spots tend to fill quickly, so if your pet is in need of immediate care, please call us at 8 am, as they are available on a first come, first serve basis.

After Hours Emergency Care

• Call Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center. Located off of Biddle Road in Central Point, Oregon, this facility is able to provide both emergency care and urgent care for your pet.

ASPCA Pet Poison Control

• If your pet ingested something potentially toxic, please call poison control for your next steps. If they recommend your pet be seen by a veterinarian, please have the case number ready when you call to make an appointment.

Steps to Take in an Emergency

1. Remain Calm: Staying calm is the most important step in helping your pet.  When pets are in pain, they may unexpectedly bite or scratch, so be very careful handling your pet.
2. Call Us: If possible, call during our regular business hours for advice on the next steps to take. Even if you are uncertain if your pet is having an emergency, we are happy to provide as much assistance and clarity as we can. If we are unable to assist you or if your pet sounds as if they need medical care beyond what we can provide, we may refer you to Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center. If we are closed, call the Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center straight away.
3. Answer Questions: Be prepared to answer any questions we or Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center may ask. Any information you can provide us with helps us in determining your next step.
